(Rødkålssalat) Fat joints are often served with red cabbage salad a lighter alternative to the traditional boiled red cabbage.
½ red cabbage
2 apples
2-3 tablesp. lemon juice
1 tablesp. water
5-6 tablesp. olive oil
Freshly grated horseradish
Sugar to taste
Quarter the cabbage and remove the stem. Shred finely.
Peel and quarter the apples, removing the core.
Mix the above ingredients to make the dressing.
Pour over the cabbage and leave for an hour before serving, tossing at intervals.
Serve cold with the hot joint.
